One of the narratives of the life story of the Prophet (s), which is narrated in the Qur'an and other sources and quoted by numerous narrators, is his ascension, which has been referred to in Persian and Arabic literature (prose and poem) and in various sources. The main question of this research is to investigate the process of change in the structural elements of the Mi'raj narratives from Hadith al-Isra' wa’l-Mi'raj, by Ibn Abbas to Ilkhanid Book of Ascension. The basis of the study is Hadith al-Isra' wa’l-Mi'raj, by Ibn Abbas, the first written ascension, which is probably written around the 10th century AD. The narration of Mi'raj after Ibn 'Abbas is mentioned in exegetical books such as Al-Mi'raj Abu l-Qasim Al-Qashiri, Tafsir al-Tabari, Taj al-Tarajem, Tafsir-i Surabadi, Kashf al-Asrar Meybodi, and Ruz al-Janan Razi. In this paper, we examine the process of change in different narratives of the story of Mi'raj in comparison with each other, as well as study the similarities and differences of these works, in order to determine the extent of the influence these narratives or interpretations have had on each other. At the end of the study, the Ilkhanid Book of Ascension, as the only independent Mi'rajnameh in Persian, is compared comparatively with other works.
