From this legendary period of the first kings to Yazdegerd III, they encountered other nations apart from the Turanians, having had to communicate verbally with them. The Shahnameh sometimes mentions a person called "Tajomān", who is assigned to translate words of two sides for each other. However, some dictionaries refer the "Tajomān" as an Arabicized word of the Persian "Tarzaban" or "Tarzafan". In the Middle Iranian languages, this term has been written as “Tarkumān” or “Targumān” as seen in the Middle Persian, Parthian and Sogdian writings. The presence of this term in Iranian texts from the early Sassanid to the Ferdowsi era, covering a millennium period, represents a career with a history and a word of long usage. Regarding its Aramaic origin, it can be noted that during the Achaemenid era, the term was entered into languages of countries under the authority of Achaemenids by Aramaic secretaries, and then found way into the works of Zoroastrians and Manicheans through the Middle Persian, Parthian, and Sogdian languages. After the spread of Islam, this word used in Persian texts such as the Shahnameh.}, keywords = {Tarjomān,Tarkumān,the Shahnameh,Persian language,Aramaic Language}, title_fa = {پیشینة واژة ترجمان در زبان‌های ایرانی و کاربرد و معنای آن در شاهنامۀ فردوسی}, abstract_fa = {             طبق روایت شاهنامه، از زمان پادشاهی فریدون به بعد ایرانیان در مقابل کشورهای بیگانه قرار می‌گیرند، از این دورۀ افسانه‌ایِ پادشاهان نخستین تا یزدگرد سومِ تاریخی، ایرانیان جز تورانیان با مردم دیگری نیز روبرو شده‌اند که ناگزیر از ارتباط زبانی با آنان بوده‌اند. در شاهنامه گاهی از فردی با عنوان «ترجمان» نام برده می‌شود که وظیفه داشته است سخنان طرفین را برای یکدیگر ترجمه کند. در برخی فرهنگ‌ها نوشته شده است که «ترجمان» معرّب «ترزبان» یا «ترزفان» فارسی است. در زبان‌های ایرانی دورۀ میانه این واژه به صورت «ترکمان» یا «ترگمان» در آثار فارسی میانه، پارتی و سغدی آمده است. وجود این واژه در متون ایرانی از آغاز دورۀ ساسانی تا زمان فردوسی که دوره‌ای هزارساله را در برمی‌گیرد، نشان از شغلی باسابقه و واژه‌ای دخیل با قدمت زیاد می‌دهد. با توجه به ریشۀ آرامی آن می‌توان گفت این واژه در دورۀ هخامنشی از طریق دبیران آرامی وارد زبان‌های کشورهای تحت سلطۀ هخامنشیان شده است و سپس از طریق زبان‌های فارسی میانه، پارتی و سغدی به آثار زرتشتیان و مانویان، و پس از اسلام به متون فارسی، ازجمله شاهنامه راه یافته است.}, keywords_fa = {Tarjomān,Tarkumān,the Shahnameh,Persian language,Aramaic Language}, url = {https://classicallit.ihcs.ac.ir/article_6219.html}, eprint = {https://classicallit.ihcs.ac.ir/article_6219_bcca238b8855c451e73f4b6d51e53009.pdf} }
